South Carolina is one the USA’s hottest travel locations – receiving thousands of visitors all year around. The state is famous for its extensive shoreline which offers sandy subtropical beaches, and a variety of marsh-like sea islands. The state is enriched in historical culture with Fort Sumter as a great example. It was a sea port during the beginning of the American Civil War. It’s rich military history is also celebrated at the popular, Patriot’s Point. If you’re a history buff, you’ll definitely love some of South Carolina’s many different museums.
If you love to swim, and especially the beach, Myrtle Beach offers 60 miles of uninterrupted beaches which makes it one of America’s favorite vacation spots! The area has celebrity designed golf courses, and one of the tallest Ferris wheels in the country, the SkyWheel! The sub-tropical climate makes the beaches accessible all year around, filling up during both spring and summer break.
Those of you who enjoy the city will find yourselves a lot more in South Carolina’s Capital City, Columbia. As the largest city in the state, it is a busy mix of modern sky rises and a more traditional downtown are similar to any large US city. You can expect to find a great selection of international foods. Feel free to enjoy many of the city’s, zoo, gardens, or lose yourself in the shopping mecca that is downtown Columbia!
