Founded in 1988, Deschutes is a family and employee-owned brewery located in Downtown Bend. It is one of the top ten craft breweries in the country in 2013 based on sales according to the Brewers Association. This popular brewery is known for its year round beers, seasonal brews as well as the Bond Street and Reserve series.
Barley Brown’s Brew Pub
Established in 1998, Barley Brown’s is a family-owned brewery and restaurant located in Baker City, Oregon. It has received Gold, Silver and Bronze medals multiple times at the North American Beer Awards, Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup. It offers 22 of its own creations at the Taphouse including the English Mild, Coyote Peak Wheat, Hot Blonde, Tumble Off Pale Ale and Don Vanuchi “The Kiler”.
Located in the historical district of Bend, Boneyard Beer was founded by Tony Lawrence, and Clay and Melodee Storey in 2010. Still using the original, refurbished 20 barrel system from the first batch they produced, Boneyard Beer has now brewed 17 different beers. Their draft beers are available in Oregon and Washington but plans to reach more beer fans after purchasing a bigger facility that houses a 40 barrel brewhouse.
Cascade Brewing is a pioneer of Northwest style sour beer movement. This artisan brewery has received numerous medals at the Great American Beer Festival. Beer fans can enjoy their excellent brews at the Cascade Brewing Barrel House and at Racoon Lodge and Brew Pub both located in Portland, Oregon.
Full Sail Brewing Company
Found in the city of Hood River, Full Sail is an independent brewery established in 1987. This award winning brewery is one of the top 50 craft breweries in the country in terms of sales volume according to the Brewers Association. It has also often times been named as one of the top sustainable breweries in the country because of its commitment to the community and the environment.
Hair of the Dog Brewing Company
Since 1993, Hair of the Dog Brewing has been committed to making new and unique beer styles. This family owned and operated craft brewery is located in Portland, Oregon. Some of its beers are bottle-conditioned or refermented in the bottle, thus improving their flavor with age.
