Mall of America

While many cities across the nation are seeing a decline in mall shopping, that is not true for the town of Bloomington, MN where the Mall of America is still going strong since it first opened in 1992. MOA is one of the top tourist spots in the Midwest and offers so much more than your usual shopping experience. Along with an abundance of stores, the mall features over 28 rides, and a 1.3-million-gallon aquarium. Featured attractions include Escape Rooms, a Mirror Maze, and Live Entertainment.


Como Park Zoo and Conservatory

The Como Park Zoo and Conservatory features plenty of opportunities for family fun. Plan your day around visiting the multitude of animals you can see inside the zoo such as the Arctic Fox, Bison, Kudu, Langur, Gorillas and more. This location has amusement park rides and mini golf to keep everyone busy. There are also several exotic gardens to explore that feature tropical plants and local flowers. Visit the Marketplace, view the local art, or relax at one of the many parks in the area.


Split Rock Lighthouse

Experience the history and sights at this landmark location when you stop by the Split Rock Lighthouse. This impressive modernized light tower features 1000 watts of powerful illuminance. Situated on the rocky coast of Lake Superior, this light station was built in 1910 and soon became one of the best-known locations in all of Minnesota. It is one of the most photographed and visited spots in Minnesota State Park and if you haven’t had a chance to visit, set aside the time to see this icon of the Northern Shore.

Inside of Minnesota’s Mall of America is Nickelodeon Universe. A special attraction designed to delight the entire family. With 27 amazing rides including BrainSurge, Jimmy Neutron’s Atomic Collider, and the Pepsi Orange Streak, this theme park is one attraction that you won’t want to miss out on. Your child can meet their favorite Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. characters, and you can save money when you buy a ride wristband. Nickelodeon Universe is open Monday – Saturday from 10AM to 9:30PM and on Sundays from 11AM to 7PM.


Science Museum of Minnesota

The Science Museum of Minnesota offers plenty of hands-on activities for kids of all ages. Take a ride on the Rocky Mountain Express in the Omnitheater, make your way through mazes, and learn more about the science behind sports with the museum’s special exhibits. There is so much to explore at this museum that you will have to visit more than once to see it all. Check out the Dinosaurs and Fossils exhibits, the Experiment Gallery, Math Moves, and the Native American Exhibition. The Science Museum is open Sunday – Wednesday from 9:30AM to 5PM, and Thursday – Saturday from 9:30AM to 9PM.
