Minnesota is progressive Americana. The pride of the state lies in its lakes, with an official record of 11,842 lakes in the state! No wonder why it’s called the, “The land of 10,000 lakes”. Geography wise, Minnesota is in the northern part of the US, and it is actually the second northernmost U.S. state after Alaska. In the northern part of the state, you’ll find the great city of Duluth. More towards the East, you’ll find the great Twin Cities.
Though the winter is a little harsh and can get pretty cold, nothing beats a fresh Minnesota summer! Outdoor enthusiasts love it here as the landscape and climate allow for tons of different recreational activities. Go for and adventurous hike through one of the many state park trails, or test your fishing skills one of the 10,000 lakes! There’s so much to do in Minnesota.
Geography aside, Minnesotan culture is particularly nice very friendly which is why “Minnesota Nice” has become a common saying, especially throughout the state. But beneath the rich cultural, flows an enormous economic machine. The North Star State is very affluent with many of popular attractions! The United States’ largest mall can be found in Minnesota. The Mall of America (in the city of Bloomington) receives over 40 million visitors annually. It is the largest mall in the nation (9.5 million square feet). People don’t just go to the Mall to shop, people also go there to eat! Traditional family-owned establishments can be found with various themed food joints. The spending power comes from a highly diverse economy that has made successful forays into healthcare, taxation, IT, manufacturing, etc. With a robust economy and a dynamic civil society, the state is a valuable star to the nation flag!
