Kentucky is an amazing state situated in the south-central part of the United States. 50% of the state is covered with more than 12 million acres of forest! A large area in the eastern region of the state is occupied by the Daniel Boone National Forest. Did you know that? So there’s tons of things to be done in Kentucky! Adequate facilities such as boating, fishing, and hiking can be found regularly throughout Kentucky.
Many agricultural items are produced here. Soybeans, wheat, corn, fruit, just to name a few, and cattle and also dairy products are very common.
Manufacturing is also abundant in Kentucky items such as, motor vehicles, aluminum ware, iron and steel products, and machinery can be seen. Apart from this, significant amounts of natural gas, petroleum, stone, and clay are also produced here. However, over 80% of Kentucky’s mineral income comes from coal. Interesting!
Some notable places to visit here include, the Cumberland Gap, horse farms, and also the bourbon distilleries.
