El Matador State Beach

El Matador is the most popular out of the three beaches that are within the Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach, and it is also the closest one to Malibu. El Matador has a parking lot with a bluff that has picnic tables which look out over the Pacific. There is a walking trail that goes throughout the eroding formations along the bluff and stairs that take you along to the beach.

Santa Monica State Beach

Santa Monica State Beach has plenty of activities and attractions for visitors to take part in. While most people come to the area because of the beach itself, there are plenty of other activities to take part in such as tours of L.A., Fitness Centers, Parks, and Venues. Huntington State Beach

Huntington State Beach is open between 6AM to 10PM, Monday through Sunday. The gates close at 9PM. The activities and facilities at this beach include Bike and Hiking Trails, Picnic Areas, Fishing, Windsurfing, Geocaching, Swimming, and Nature & Wildlife Viewing.

Will Rogers State Beach

Will Rogers State Beach is one and 3/25 miles along the shore. Visitors can take part in swimming and diving at this location. There is also a volleyball court, gymnastic equipment, and a playground. Take a ride on the bike path or a stroll along the walkway. This beach is located off the Pacific Coast Highway near the Temescal Canyon Road intersection.

Malibu Surfrider Beach

Surfrider Beach is part of the Malibu Lagoon State Beach. It has plenty of good surfing waves for riding and the nearby fishing pier is a great place to enjoy the view. This beach features a sand volleyball court, and there’s always lifeguards on duty to ensure safe swimming.
